Dr. Haden’s career continued in Cumming, GA, where he was an associate for over 4 years. While there, he and his wife were always looking for a great location to start a family as well as his own practice. Holly Springs proved to be that ideal location.
He and his wife have 3 boys, 1 dog, and 2 cats. Dr. Haden’s hobbies include drawing and traveling.

Stacy Hirst, DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Stacy joined our team in September 2022. Graduating from the University of Georgia with a biology degree and later from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006, she found her passion for animals during her college years. Originally from Cincinnati, OH, she settled in Cumming, GA during high school and has called it home ever since.

Her journey into the veterinary world began with roles in a boarding facility, a veterinary hospital, and even at the UGA dairy. Stacy’s love for animals sparked from the challenge of diagnosing their ailments without words, coupled with the heartwarming gratitude she receives from families whose pets she has cared for, even in the hardest of times.

Specializing in dermatology cases, Stacy finds the complexity and rewards of these cases particularly fulfilling. Beyond her role as an accomplished veterinarian, she serves as the president of the Forsyth/Dawson VMA, organizing educational events and fostering connections within her local veterinary community.

Outside the clinic, Stacy cherishes time spent with her husband Graham, their daughters Emerson and Brantley, and step-daughter Kylie. Their furry family members—two Huskies and four cats—add joy to their lives. From coaching cheerleading to cheering for UGA football and indulging her wanderlust with family travels, Stacy finds balance and fulfillment in both her professional and personal pursuits.

Jaymie C.

Jaymie was born and raised in Canton, GA, and has been in the veterinary field since 2007. She started working at Animal Medical Center of Holly Springs in 2009. Jaymie and her husband, Zeb, have four kids together. They share their home with 2 dogs and 3 cats. In her spare time, she loves being outdoors and spending time with friends and family. You’ll often find her at one of the kids’ sporting events or, if they can catch a free weekend, visiting the beach or camping.

Amber S.

Lab Manager

Originally hailing from Alpharetta, Georgia, Amber moved to Canton, Georgia during middle school and attended Creekview High School.

Amber’s journey into the veterinary industry began in 2019 as a vet tech, inspired by her sister who had a long-standing career in the field and served as her role model. Her deep affection for animals, having owned chickens, goats, and dogs, drives her passion to advocate for pets’ medical needs while ensuring they receive the best care possible.

Amber found her true calling in the veterinary profession when she realized she felt happy and fulfilled coming to work every day.

Outside of her professional life, Amber enjoys spending time with her husband, Levi, particularly when they’re cooking together. She is also a proud mother to Jasper, who was born just two days after her own birthday in July! Their favorite family activity is snuggling together on weekends, cherishing their time as a family of three.

McKinley M.

Veterinary Technician

McKinley joined the team in December of 2022. With a heart for animals and a profound desire to make a positive impact, McKinley’s journey in the veterinary field has been a fulfilling one.

Born and raised in the Kennesaw/Acworth, GA area, McKinley’s fascination with animals began early in life. She pursued her dream by enrolling in an online veterinary technician program, which eventually led her to the real-world experience she craved. Her genuine concern for the well-being of animals, combined with her commitment to learning and hands-on care, quickly made her an essential member of the Animal Medical Center team.

McKinley’s favorite aspect of her role is the ability to advocate for the voiceless and offer a helping hand to her furry patients. She finds immense joy in nurturing animals back to health and providing them with the care they deserve. Her dedication to her work is evident through her eagerness to start each day and her constant enthusiasm when sharing stories about her job with friends and family.

Outside of work, McKinley continues to embrace her love for the outdoors. Whether it’s hiking, paddle boarding with her dog, or tending to her extensive collection of plants that adorn her room, McKinley’s vibrant spirit extends beyond the clinic walls. She also enjoys cozy moments watching shows and cuddling with her beloved dog and supportive boyfriend.

Bergen R.

Veterinary Technician

Originally from Roswell, Bergen now resides in Acworth. She transitioned from working in doggie daycare and boarding facilities to veterinary medicine because of her desire to aid pets and their owners. Her favorite aspect of working with animals is the opportunity to make a positive impact on their lives.

Outside of work, Bergen enjoys reading, baking, and spending time in the mountains fishing.

Katrina S.

Veterinary Technician

Katrina has been dedicated to animal care since 2011, when she began her career as a kennel technician. By 2013, she had become a veterinary technician, drawn to the field by a lifelong passion for helping animals—especially those without a voice. Though she briefly explored another adventure as a flight attendant in 2016, her love for veterinary medicine never faded. In 2024, she returned to the field as a receptionist and quickly transitioned back to her role as a vet tech in 2025.

Originally from Savannah, GA, Katrina now calls Canton, GA, home. She shares her life with her husband, Matt, their son, Walker, and their three beloved rescue dogs—Rhonda, Fancy, and Reba—whom they saved while traveling. Outside of work, Katrina is an avid traveler who seizes every opportunity to explore new places. No matter where life takes her, her heart always leads her back to caring for animals.

Dana Meaders

Veterinary Assistant

Dana is a dedicated Veterinary Assistant at the Animal Medical Center of Holly Springs. Originally from the picturesque mountains of Blairsville, GA, Dana and her family moved to Canton earlier this year to seek greater opportunities and be closer to their extended family.

Dana’s lifelong passion for animals led her naturally to the veterinary industry. She began her career at a small clinic in Ellijay, GA, working with injured wildlife and exotic animals, before moving to a larger clinic in Blue Ridge, GA. After a few years, she took a break to raise her three children but eventually returned to her calling, reaffirming that her heart belongs with animals.

Dana knew she was in the right profession when she realized that not a single day at work felt like work. Her joy in caring for animals confirms that she is exactly where she is meant to be.

Outside of work, Dana enjoys spending quality time with her family, including her spouse Chris, her son Sean (17), and her daughters Asiah (15) and Raelyn (11). Their home, affectionately known as their “tiny farm,” includes two Golden Retrievers, a cat, two lizards, and two sugar gliders. Dana and her family love kayaking, hiking, and embarking on adventures whenever they can.

Haleigh M.

Receptionist

Haleigh grew up immersed in the veterinary field, spending much of her childhood alongside her mother, who worked as an office manager at multiple clinics. Those early experiences fostered a lifelong love for animals, making a career in the industry a natural fit. After graduating from Woodstock High School in 2015, she attended Georgia Southern University before moving around for a few years. She returned to the Canton area in 2020 and soon found her way back to her passion—working with animals.

Her journey into veterinary care feels like fate. As a child, she once asked her mom if she could “have her job when she died,” not quite understanding how careers worked. That early desire has come full circle, as she now plays an essential role in ensuring pets and their owners feel welcome and cared for at Animal Medical Center of Holly Springs.

Outside of work, Haleigh and her husband, Cody, share a home filled with love—and plenty of animals. Their “home zoo” includes Kahuna, a rescued Pitbull, and four cats—Effy, Fuzz, Winnie, and Jinx—all of whom were stray kittens before finding their forever home. Though they may be outnumbered, they wouldn’t have it any other way.

Bethanie N.

Receptionist

Bethanie is a Receptionist at Animal Medical Center of Holly Springs. Born in Marietta, GA, Bethanie moved to Acworth at the age of 18. She graduated from high school in 2020 and is currently pursuing a degree in computer programming.

Bethanie’s journey in the veterinary field began when she started working at a kennel at 18. Over time, she transitioned into a reception role and later gained experience on the technical side of veterinary care. She has always felt a deep connection with animals and enjoys being part of a team dedicated to their well-being.

Outside of work, Bethanie comes from a large family with seven siblings, making for a lively upbringing. She shares her home with her beloved Russian Blue cat, Spoon—who will only respond to her name when spoken in Russian!
